John founded Calibrate Management Ltd in 2021. Prior to founding Calibrate, John was a Partner and Hedge Fund Manager at GLG Partners, where he managed and founded the award winning ‘Alpha Select Hedge Fund’ (Euro Hedge Long/Short Fund winner 2009*). John began his career in finance at James Capel and then joined SBC O’Connor (now UBS) in 1991 where he traded Equity and Equity derivatives. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1999 as Head of UK Equity Trading and then European Equity Prop Trading until 2004 when he joined GLG Partners.

John holds a TRIUM Global Executive MBA from the London School of Economics, the HEC School of Management and the NYU Stern School of Business.
